A new enhancement in BBS Atom improves the efficiency of your delivery route optimisation process.
What's Changed:
The previous limit of 23 drops per manifest when optimising delivery runs has now been removed. This limit was originally imposed by the Google Routes API, but we’ve updated the system to route optimisation through a different Google API that no longer has this restriction.
Important Note:
For manifests with more than 23 drops, we are now using a new API, which requires each address to be geo-coded individually before requesting route optimisation.
•Geo-coding is the process of converting each delivery address into geographical coordinates.
•Once an address is geo-coded, it will be saved in the system, so it does not need to be geo-coded again for future route optimisations.
•Please note that geo-coding new addresses may cause a slight delay in the optimisation process for those addresses that haven’t been geo-coded previously.
We hope this change will enhance your experience by allowing more flexible and efficient route planning.
